The Las Vegas bus system is a great and surprisingly easy way for visitors to get around Sin City. The CAT (Citizens Area Transit) bus system operates busses 24 hours a day along the Las Vegas Strip and 5:30 A.M. - 1:30 A.M. in most other areas of the city. Frequent trips are also made to the Downtown Transit Center next to Main Street Station, Fashion Show Mall, and most other major Las Vegas shopping locations.
One-way
bus fares are $2 on the Las Vegas Strip and $1.25 in other
areas. As with most cities, the Las Vegas bus system requires
exact change when purchasing a fare. Monthly passes may be available
from CAT for frequent bus riders. Please call their customer
service department at (702) 228-7433 for up to date information on
passes, pricing, schedules, and bus routes.
The newest addition to the Strip are the new Las Vegas double-decker busses, which operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These offer visitors an excellent view from which to ride down the spectacular Las Vegas Strip (also includes a stop at the Downtown Transit Center). All-day passes for the new "The Deuce" double-decker busses are only $5.
